And the needle strikes back

I know it's been a while, since 2011 to be precise. My relationship with needles has not changed. Since my last blog post, I have purchased 2 new sewing machines, 1 antique singer and a tattoo machine. WHAT? Yes, you read that correctly, tattoo machine. Who knows, I might just become the next Kat Von D of kinnakeet.;)

One flew over the cuckoo's nest

Feathers everywhere...This month its feather hair extensions, I have everything to make a feathery mess out of your mane. I realized it has been a month to the day that I last posted. This must be a phase in my crazy cycle. Creative for 2 weeks, bitchy for 1 day, stupid for 3 days, completely overwhelmed for 2 days, and semi normal for 8 days.
Sunday is Mother's day. As usual I have purchased a mother's day gift for myself, because I so deserve it. A new sewing machine(brother coverstitch). Oh so thrilling...Happy mother's day to all my muthas!

and done

No more cushion making for a while. I completed 10 cushions for my G Ma's house and made 2 for my favorite sofa(in photo). For a second I thought it might be fun to start revamping old furniture, maybe not this week. Now the cushions are done, It's time to start the swimsuit orders.

inspiration

Sitting on the sofa with the stomach bug, surfing the internet for some inspiration. This is what I found.

In the Beginning...

Schizophrenia (pronounced /ˌskɪtsɵˈfrɛniə/ or /ˌskɪtsɵˈfriːniə/) is a mental disorder characterized by a disintegration of thought processes and of emotional responsiveness.[1] It most commonly manifests as auditory hallucinationsparanoid or bizarre delusions, or disorganized speech and thinking, and it is accompanied by significant social or occupational dysfunction. The onset of symptoms typically occurs in young adulthood, with a global lifetime prevalence of about 0.3–0.7%.[2] Diagnosis is based on observed behavior and the patient's reported experiences.

This is what goes on in my mind when the creative juices start. A vision pops in my head and festers until I have a finished product. I dream about it and find myself consumed with how I can execute the vision and before I am done I have moved on to the next project. (maybe a little ADHD too?) I get carried away when someone else throws an idea at me. It makes my head spin "oh you could do this and maybe a little of that...". I find these traits in my 7 year old son, he wants to make something and he wants to make it now and you don't hear the end of it til it's done! My husband doesn't get us. I am hoping this blog will help keep my thoughts organized? Photos soon to come
